Group of three youth attack teen, who is left nursing knife wounds in the hospital

A teenager is nursing injuries following a knife attack by known
young men in St. John’s.

Reports say that an Emergency Room doctor at the Sir Lester Bird
Medical Centre telephoned the Criminal Investigations Department

(CID) and reported that a 19-year-old Fort Road youth had been
wounded.

This incident reportedly occurred at about 3 p.m. on Tuesday,
October 31, at Bishopgate Street.

Further reports say the victim was walking from west to east on the
said street when he was attacked by three known young men, and
one of them used a knife to inflict stab wounds about his body.

Reports say the teenager was stabbed twice, to his back and to the
left side of his chest. Hence, the young man was admitted to the
hospital, but in a stable condition.

Investigations into this incident are continuing.
