Tuesday-morning stabbing sends woman to the hospital following alleged money dispute with her partner

Following the fatal stabbing that took place on Monday night, a
second stabbing in St. John’s was reported – this one allegedly
stemming from a domestic dispute.

Reports say that the victim, a woman, was rushed to the hospital by
the Emergency Medical Services, after allegedly being stabbed by
her partner on Tuesday, August 22, sometime after 10 a.m.

The incident is said to have taken place on Corn Alley.
Media reports are suggesting that their altercation might have
arisen over money.

The man reportedly is in custody, assisting the Police with
investigations into the matter.

This offence happened less than 24 hours after a similar incident on
Lower All Saints Road, where 66-year-old Dennis Edwards, a Bolans
resident, was fatally stabbed during an altercation.

According to some reports, the man responsible for that killing has
turned himself in to the Police. It is alleged that the suspect went to
a police station last night, August 22, to assist with investigations
into the matter.
