Judge finds man guilty of raping the good friend of his girlfriend and sentences him to eight years in prison
Al Sylvester Hilair was found guilty of rape on March 2, by Justice Collin Williams, during a judge-alone trial that lasted for two days.
He re-appeared before Justice Williams last Friday, April 28, and was sentenced to eight years imprisonment.
The victim reportedly was a good friend of Hilair’s girlfriend, and he alleged, during the trial, that the sexual act was consensual. She denied this.
Allegedly, at one point, the convict had made an offer to the victim to be part of a threesome, which, she said, she declined.
Meanwhile, an allegation of rape committed on a teenager is being investigated.
According to reports, a woman took her daughter to the Langfords Police Station and complained that she had been raped by an unknown man. The illegal act against the 15-year-old girl reportedly occurred at about 12:05 p.m. on March 31.
The victim was interviewed by police officers in the presence of her parents and gave the lawmen certain information, reports add.
