Public Service Association president invites women to ‘just come’ to Tuesday evening’s seminar on cervical cancer

This evening, March 7, the Antigua and Barbuda Public Service Association (ABPSA) will be hosting a seminar geared towards educating women about health matters affecting them.

Cervical cancer will be the topic for discussion, says Association President Joan Peters, noting that breast cancer was the focus last year.

She says that women need to look about their health; therefore, the ABPSA will be providing an avenue through which they can obtain vital information.

Peters notes that the event is slated for 5 p.m. at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, and it is open to all women – not only members of the Association – and no registration is required.

“Just come,” she advises, as the auditorium is able to hold about 100 people.

Peters says the session will be an interactive one, since the attendees will be able to pose questions to the medical practitioner. Other vital information will also be shared at the event, including the importance of annual checks for cervical cancer.
