Chicken thieves cause a setback to school’s Agriculture Science programme; police continue to investigate

Thieves continue to make schools their target, this time breaking into the Antigua Seventh-Day Adventist School and stealing a quantity of chickens.

Reports are that the Agriculture Science teacher reported the matter to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) after making the discovery that the chicken coop was broken into and the birds missing.

Further reports are that the perpetrator (s) gained entry into an eastern chicken coop by allegedly using a tool to pry open a metal mesh above a doorway, entering and stealing the chickens.

The police continue to investigate the matter and CCTV footage will be reviewed to assist in the probe.

This offence reportedly occurred sometime between 5pm on February 4 and 8am on February 5.
