Medical Association praises the late Sir Dr. Alford Walwyn for his contributions to healthcare and to the fraternity

The Medical Association of Antigua and Barbuda (MAAB) is remembering the contributions made by the late Sir Dr. R. Alford Walwyn, who passed away recently at the age of 97.

In extending condolences to Sir Alford’s family, the Medical Association described him as a dedicated medical practitioner who touched so many lives throughout his career and lifetime.

The Association says it is grateful for his efforts and dedication to healthcare and his service to the public and the medical fraternity.

It describes Sir Alford as a friend and colleague and one of the founding members of the now renamed Medical Association of Antigua & Barbuda Inc. in the 1950s.

Dr. Walwyn also served as president of the Association for several years.
