Barbuda Council is starved of taxes and Barbudans are struggling while Gov’t cuts up and leases land, Mussington says

Barbuda-community activist John Mussington says the Gaston Browne Administration is continuing its exploitation of the sister-island and its people.

Mussington says that money the Central Government ought to be paying to the Council are not being received, even as the Administration continues to cut up and lease out lands.

Amidst this, he says, the people of Barbuda are struggling while the Browne Government enriches itself at their expense.

Meanwhile, Mussington says he is curious to know who the beneficiaries of PLH Barbuda Limited are. He alleges that they “have been making money hand over fist” from development projects on the Council while the Council is not getting a dime in taxes.
