Accused shooter in Sunday’s incident outside Diamond Ice nightclub is charged and will appear in court today

The Point man who was involved in the shooting outside the Diamond Ice nightclub on Lower All Saints Road will make his first court appearance today, June 29, in the St. John’s Magistrates Court.
 
The Police have charged Brandon Murphy with shooting with intent to murder in connection with the alleged offence. The incident reportedly occurred at around 5:50 a.m. on Sunday, June 26.
 
He is accused of shooting 19-year-old Jhonte Meade of Parham in the left thigh. However, the victim’s injuries, according to doctors at the hospital, were not considered life threatening.  
 
Shortly after the incident, Murphy was taken into custody by the Police for questioning.
