Wehner and Lovell say Thursday night’s meeting is about Party showing solidarity with Union and disaffected workers

Everything is in place for Thursday night, April 28, when the Antigua and Barbuda Workers’ Union (ABWU) and the United Progressive Party (UPP) will stage the “No Confidence [in The Government]” public meeting.

This event is a prelude to the annual Labour Day celebrations and the Party’s grand social at Ffryes Beach.

UPP Mobilization Officer George Wehner says the event will be a massive public rally that targets workers who are dissatisfied with the Browne Administration and its many failings.

Meanwhile, Harold Lovell, the Party’s Political Leader, says Thursday night’s meeting will be the first to adopt the old pre-COVID-19 format.

Lovell encourages all workers to support this collaboration between the Party and Union, which is being held to show solidarity with them.

The UPP Political Leader notes that workers have been suffering under the leadership of Prime Minister Gaston Browne and his Labour Party Administration.
