COVID-19 cases continue their creep upwards, with active infections at almost 50

Active cases of the COVID-19 virus are now at almost 50, sparking concern among residents.

The most recent dashboard released by the Ministry of Health reveals 22 new lab-confirmed cases, as of Wednesday, April 26, bringing active infections to 48.

Of the new cases, 10 were recorded on Tuesday, April 26, and 12 on Wednesday, April 27. Sixty-eight samples were processed at the hospital from which the positive cases were realized.

Officials say there is one moderate hospitalized case and nine recovered cases for this period.

The total number of lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda has now reached 7,626.
