Multiple injuries and broken bones caused death of motorcyclist in Bethesda accident, post mortem determines

A post-mortem examination on the body of Shane Welcome – the country’s fourth road fatality – reveals that he died as a result of multiple injuries, including several broken bones.

The examination was conducted on Wednesday, April 6, on the body of the 33-year-old resident of Golden Grove.

Welcome died in an accident on Sunday, March 20, in Bethesda, while riding his Yamaha motorcycle.

Reportedly, he lost control of the bike, slammed into a light pole and was thrown from the vehicle.  The accident occurred on the Christian Hill Main Road in the vicinity of the cemetery.

Efforts to resuscitate him proved futile, and he was pronounced dead on the spot.
