Watts says DCA deliberately blocking his venture in St. George and he will not stand for such political victimization
Algernon “Serpent” Watts is accusing the Development Control Authority (DCA) of deliberately using delays to prevent him from erecting a tent for a fundraising activity.
Watts, the United Progressive Party Candidate for St. George, says he had begun erecting the structure, but was ordered by DCA inspectors to cease and desist. He complied.
Watts says he was given instructions on how he should apply for approval and thereafter applied to the DCA by way of a letter. But, since that time, he says, he has been blocked every step of the way.
The UPP Candidate claims his attempts are being derailed by someone close to his opponent, the current MP for St. George.
Watts says he will not stand for this type of political victimization, which seems to be the modus operandi of the Labour Party.
