Armed pair hold up and rob owner of Falmouth supermarket, while Police now have the Northside’s ‘Tiptoe Bandit’ in custody
The Police are continuing investigations into a robbery and shooting incident at a supermarket in Falmouth.
Reportedly, the owner of the supermarket had just arrived at his business place when he was accosted by two armed suspects, who robbed him of an undisclosed sum of money.
Gunshots reportedly were fired during the incident; however, no one was injured.
Both suspects are described as dark in complexion and dressed in all-dark clothing. One is described as stocky, while the other is said to be slimly built.
The Police are appealing to anyone who might have been in the area at the time and witnessed any suspicious activities. Persons are asked to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or call Crimestoppers at 800-Tips (8477).
Meanwhile… Benjamin Silcott of Cassada Gardens – known as The Tiptoe Bandit – is now in police custody, after being wanted for questioning in a number of house-breakings on the Northside.
So far, he has been charged only for breaking into a Blue Waters home, where he allegedly stole a bottle of water. However, investigations are continuing into other allegations.
Silcott reportedly was captured on surveillance camera some weeks ago. When he realized there was a camera on the premises, reports say, he backed up and left the property in the same manner in which he had entered it – on tiptoe.
