NO NEW COVID-19 CASES REPORTED, BUT ONE MORE RECOVERY RECORDED, AS ACTIVE INFECTIONS REMAINS AT SIX

The Ministry of Health is reporting that there were no new cases of the corona virus on Tuesday, June 1.

The most recent dashboard, which was published late Thursday, June 3, indicates that 81 samples were processed at the Mount St. John Medical Centre lab and did not yield any positive cases.

Therefore, the total number of lab-confirmed COVID-19 infections remains at 1,262, inclusive of six active cases.  There is one hospitalized case whose symptoms are considered to be mild, and
one new recovery, which increases that total to 1,214.

Meanwhile, 33,632 persons have received their first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine. Those receiving their second jab total 18,179.

The Government has been offering incentives for residents to get vaccinated, including its most recent inducement – a plot of land that will be raffled among those taking their first jab from next Monday.
