COVID CASES CONTINUE TO DECLINE, BUT ONE PATIENT IS HOSPITALIZED WITH REPORTEDLY MILD SYMPTOMS

One person is now hospitalized with COVID-19 symptoms as the active cases continue to decline.

The Ministry of Health, in its most recently published dashboard, indicates that there were no new lab-confirmed cases as of Sunday, May 30.

However, one person had to be placed in the hospital for the first time in over a week. That person is reportedly suffering with mild symptoms of the disease.

Health officials say they have not received any new reports from the Mount St. John Medical Centre or the Caribbean Public Health Agency.

Therefore, the total number of persons with lab-confirmed cases remains at 1,260. This is inclusive of five active cases.

Four people are in isolation.

Meanwhile, vaccination numbers continue to increase, albeit slowly, for the first dose. Thus far, 33,463 first jabs have been administered, while those receiving their second dose have increased to over 16,000.
