LOVELL EXPRESSES CONFIDENCE IN CANDIDATE SEAN BIRD’S ABILITY TO TAKE THE RURAL EAST SEAT FOR THE UPP
The Political Leader of the United Progressive Party, Harold Lovell, is expressing confidence that Sean Bird, the Party’s candidate for the St. John’s Rural East constituency, can capture that seat.
Lovell made these remarks on Saturday, May 8, at the opening of the the constituency branch office.
With Bird on the ticket, the Party stands a very good chance of defeating the incumbent, Lovell says.
The Political Leader adds that Bird is genuinely committed to the upliftment of the people, and has pledged to do everything to ensure that they prosper.
Other remarks were delivered by former Prime Minister Dr. Baldwin Spencer and Party Chairman D.Gisele Isaac.
Bird, meanwhile, was supported by members of his immediate family, who have ties to the Rural East community of St. Johnston’s Village; his well-known cousin Vere Bird III; and Branch members who gave him ringing endorsements.
