UPP’S WEHNER CONDEMNS VIDEOTAPED THREATS AGAINST J’TRUTH & CALLS ON THE POLICE TO TAKE ACTION
George Wehner, the United Progressive Party’s Mobilization Officer is condemning threats made against social-media influencer J’Truth – The Engineer.
A video circulating online since last week features a local man threatening J’Truth with bodily harm if he continues to criticize Prime Minister Gaston Browne.
Wehner says the man, who was in the company of several others – all apparently unmasked – seemed to be intoxicated.
This is a matter that should be taken seriously, Wehner says, and he is calling on the Police to take appropriate action.
In the video, the man is also making unsubstantiated claims pertaining to Gaston Browne and his threats.
Several years ago, the Police detained and charged Wehner, himself, accusing him of making threats against members of the Gaston Browne Administration.
The charges arose out of promotional material for a radio programme, In the Trenches, that Wehner once hosted.
