BARBUDA COUNCIL TO RAMP UP TRAINING IN SPECIAL SECTORS ALREADY TARGETED FOR DEVELOPMENT; SAYS MP WALKER

As the Barbuda Council seeks to develop the sister-island along the lines it envisions, Member of Parliament Trevor Walker says plans are in the pipeline to strengthen its human-resource capacity.

This move is meant to position the Council to meet any challenges that may arise as Barbuda seeks to strengthen its economy.

While training has been ongoing, Walker says that efforts will be stepped up in order to have persons skilled in specialized fields.  He explains that the Council’s plans call for the development of certain sectors and these will require certain expertise.
