NEW DATE NOT GIVEN, BUT SJDC SAYS NEW VENDORS SQUARE WILL BE COMMISSIONED SHORTLY

Saiid Greene, the Director of City and Urban Renewal at the St. John’s Development Corporation (SJDC), says the Vendors Square located on High and Thames Streets will be commissioned very shortly.

The facility, located at the back of the General Post Office, has been transformed to properly house vendors and their wares.

Several kiosks have been built to create a more aesthetically pleasing location from which vendors can ply their trade and where visitors can feel welcome, the Corporation says.

The facility was expected to be commissioned since last year; but several factors, including the COVID-19 pandemic, delayed the event.
