Emergency Medical Technician Injured After Driver Strikes Her While Boarding Company Vehicle, Driver Fled the Scene

An Emergency Medical Technician is receiving treatment at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre after being struck by a passing motorist in a hit-and-run collision while attempting to enter her company vehicle.

Sources said the EMT was attempting to enter the vehicle when she was struck by a passing motorist. The driver reportedly left the scene without stopping.

The injured woman was assisted by emergency responders and transported to hospital, where she is said to be in stable condition.

The incident has sparked concern among colleagues and members of the public, as the victim is among the healthcare workers who regularly respond to emergencies across the country.
