The Antigua and Barbuda Social Security Board has apologised for a delay in processing pension payments due at the end of July, blaming unforeseen technical difficulties for the disruption.

In a notice issued on Tuesday, the board said the problem affected pension payments scheduled for the end of July 2026, and moved to reassure retirees that the matter was being resolved.

"We wish to assure our pensioners that all outstanding payments will be processed today," the notice stated, confirming that the outstanding sums would be cleared on Tuesday, July 28.

The board apologised for any inconvenience or concern the delay may have caused and thanked pensioners for their patience and understanding while the issue was addressed.
