The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority is calling on visual artists, creatives, organisations, and venues across the twin-island nation to help shape the fourth edition of Antigua and Barbuda Art Week — a destination-wide celebration of visual arts, culture, and creativity scheduled for November 11 to 18, 2026.
The call for participation officially opened on Thursday, July 2, with interested parties invited to submit expressions of interest on or before July 30.
A Growing Cultural Platform
Now entering its fourth year, Antigua and Barbuda Art Week has grown into one of the most important platforms on the island's cultural calendar, combining the promotion of local artistic talent with the nation's broader cultural tourism strategy.
Marketing Communications Manager at the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority, Maria Blackman, said the event has become a meaningful bridge between creativity, community, and tourism. "Antigua and Barbuda Art Week has become an important platform for showcasing the incredible talent within our destination while deepening the connection between art, culture and tourism," she said. "We invite artists and creatives from across Antigua and Barbuda to join us as we continue to grow Art Week into an unforgettable celebration of creativity that reflects the essence of our twin-island paradise."
Who Is Being Invited
Visual artists working across a range of disciplines — including painting, photography, mixed media, textile art, digital art, and other visual forms — are invited to register their interest in exhibiting as part of the week's programme. Expressions of interest are welcomed from both emerging and established artists.
Beyond the exhibitions themselves, the ABTA is also seeking expressions of interest from artists, creatives, organisations, and venues wishing to host official satellite events under the Art Week banner. These could include workshops, open studios, performances, fashion shows, and other creative experiences that contribute to what organisers are building as a destination-wide creative festival.
