Young fisherman dies following motorcycle accident, plunging Old Road into mourning again

The village of Old Road and the family of a young man from that area are
mourning his tragic passing today, May 28.

Reports say that Meco Pelle, 27, died following a motorcycle crash on Monday
night, May 27.

According to further reports, the young fisherman lost control of his
motorcycle, which then collided with a parked vehicle, and Pelle was
propelled several feet from the wreckage.

The injured man was rushed to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre by the
Emergency Medical Service (EMS) in critical condition. However, he later
succumbed to his injuries.

The motorcycle sustained extensive damage, reports say.
It is alleged that, earlier that day, Pelle had attended the funeral of a fellow
villager, 23-year-old Ricaldo Joseph, who was the victim of a reported
homicide.
