Reward of $10k being offered for information that will lead to solving latest murder and other outstanding homicides, STRATCOM announces

Wednesday morning’s murder at the Asylum Night Club, formerly the G-Spot,
has forced the authorities to offer a reward for information – not about this
homicide only, but any other that has occurred recently and remains
unsolved.

A STRATCOM media release states that the Police are offering a $10,000
reward to any member of the public who can provide useful information that
will assist in solving the country’s recent murders.

“Anyone with information can contact the Criminal Investigations Department
at 462-3913 or call the Crimestoppers Hotline at 800-Tips (8477),” the media
release says.

The Police are urging residents not to withhold information that could help
solve other criminal activities, including robberies, and to report all suspicious
activities without delay.

Officers are further assuring the public that all information provided will be
handled with the strictest confidence.

Meanwhile, the Police continue to investigate the country’s most recent
murder, that of a 24-year-old Yorks Village man.

Kevin Vaccannie was gunned down at his mother’s place of business on
Independence Drive early Wednesday morning, May 15, and was pronounced
dead at the hospital at 5:25 a.m. He was one of two men shot during the
incident.

The other victim, who has not yet been identified, is hospitalized and said to
be nursing gunshot wounds to his abdomen. His condition reportedly is
stable.

According to the Police, the shooting incident stemmed from an altercation at
the club. Officers say they are in the process of interviewing several persons
who, they believe, can assist in their investigations.
