Woman assaulted by gunman on St. Johnstons Village main road in early-morning hours

The Police are investigating an alleged incident of assault with
intent, during which an All Saints woman was attacked by a lone
gunman.

Following the ordeal, she immediately made a report to the 911
emergency hotline which, in turn, alerted the Criminal
Investigations Department (CID).

This offence reportedly occurred at about 5:45 a.m. on November
25, on the St. Johnstons Village main road.

Reportedly the woman was on her way to work, when, upon
reaching the vicinity of the Spanish Bar on the same road, a gunman
exited a navy blue Toyota Vitz and struck her with a gun on the left
ear.

He then fired a shot at her and fled the scene.

The assailant is described as being of a slim build and about 6 feet
tall and was fully masked.

As a result of the incident, the victim sustained several abrasions on
the left hand and a bleeding wound to the left ear.

She was transported to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, where a
doctor treated her injuries.

A search was carried out in the surrounding areas for any spent
shells, the vehicle, and the assailant, but without success.
