Black car and white truck in serious single-vehicle accidents on Thursday; drivers being urged to be cautious on the road
There were two serious accidents on Thursday morning, December 22, and drivers are being advised to be cautious on the roadways during the Christmas season.
In one instance, On the stretch of highway known as the Hall Road, a black vehicle collided head-on with a metal utility pole.
The car’s front tyres were blown out, and portions of the sides and front bumper were crushed in. Even the windscreen sustained spider cracks.
There was another accident on the Friars Hill Road, during which a white Toyota Navara pick-up ran off the roadway and ended up on its roof in the waterway north of the St. John’s Public Cemetery.
Persons are still trying to piece together how the truck ended up in that location.
No details on the drivers and their possible injuries were known at press time, but the Police are probing both incidents.
