This Christmas is among the hardest that residents have ever experienced, with not even water to clean homes, Potter says

This Christmas season is one of the hardest that many Antiguans and Barbudans have experienced, laments Gladys Potter, the United Progressive Party (UPP) Candidate for St. John’s Rural South.

Potter says that many people are complaining of not having the money to do the usual fix-up, painting and beautification of their homes, and not many residences or businesses have erected Christmas lights, unlike in years past.

She says the Gaston Browne Administration has made it very hard for people to enjoy this yuletide season because of its mismanagement of the country’s financial resources.

Potter notes that not even water is available to clean one’s home during this period, when a lot of cleaning usually takes place in preparation for Christmas Day into the New Year.
