West Indies Oil becomes first local company and first energy company to be listed on Eastern Caribbean Securities Exchange

The West Indies Oil company Ltd. (WIOC) became the 14th company to be listed on the Eastern Caribbean Securities Exchange (ECSE); the first listed energy company; and the first listed company from Antigua and Barbuda, on Thursday, July 7.

Senator Damani Tabor says that a United Progressive Party (UPP) Administration will be prepared to use the funds earned from the regional stock market to bring relief to the people of Antigua and Barbuda.  

The company’s shares will be identified on the market by its trading symbol, WIOC. They officially became available for trading when the market opened on Thursday morning.
