Those behind malicious prosecutions must be prepared for retribution, says Daniel

Willmoth Daniel, former Minister of Works in the United Progressive Party (UPP) Administration, says he is hoping that those who sought to persecute and prosecute him and his colleagues have their house in order.

Daniel, along with UPP Political Leader Harold Lovell and former Education Minister Dr. Jacqui Quinn, was exonerated in the infamous “Buses Case” on Tuesday, November 23, after a High Court judge upheld a no-case submission made by the defense team.

Daniel, although elated at the verdict, reminds those behind the malicious prosecutions that they must be prepared for retribution.

Meanwhile, he says the UPP will be able to move forward with its agenda now, in spite of being  harassed and victimized by the Gaston Browne Administration.

According to Daniel, the ruling also restores some degree of faith in the country’s justice system, and he thanks the lawyers who represented them.
