INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OFFICE TO HOST WEBINAR THAT EDUCATES WRITERS AND PUBLISHERS ON HOW TO PRODUCE AND PROTECT WORK
Writers who wish to get their work published will have an opportunity to learn about the process next Monday via an online webinar. The event also targets existing publishers.
The Antigua and Barbuda Intellectual Property and Commerce Office is coordinating the virtual event, set for June 21. It will run from 10 a.m. to midday.
Registrar Ricki Camacho says a number of guest speakers will address the basic strategies, including why having a publisher is important.
Camacho says that many local writers have expressed an interest in knowing what is necessary to get their work published. Accordingly, she says, the webinar is an important event for learning the particulars of the business.
The information gleaned will guide writers and publishers on the best way to protect their work.
