Sailors around the world can now secure their place at one of the Caribbean’s most celebrated regattas, with Antigua Sailing Week opening its registration portal for the 58th edition of the competition more than nine months ahead of race week.

The 58th edition of Antigua Sailing Week is scheduled for April 21 to 25, 2027, with the event’s organisers issuing a Preliminary Notice of Race and officially opening entries this week.

A New Format Finding Its Feet

The announcement comes as organisers report that the newly revamped point-to-point format introduced at this year’s edition is being widely embraced by sailors and participants alike. “The new format was embraced by competitors from around the world, delivering an unforgettable blend of fun racing, spectacular cruising, unique destinations and the camaraderie that has long defined Antigua Sailing Week,” organisers said.

Those who participated in the first edition of the new format are expected back, while the regatta is extending a particular welcome to those who missed the 2026 edition. “For sailors who were unable to join this year, Antigua Sailing Week 2027 presents the perfect opportunity to experience the evolution of one of the Caribbean’s longest running regattas,” organisers noted.

Destinations Still to Come

Anticipation is already building around what is in store for 2027, with organisers promising further details on the specific destinations to be announced in the coming months. “With exciting destinations still to be announced and another spectacular week on the horizon, Antigua Sailing Week 2027 promises to build on the momentum of its successful new format and once again deliver an unparalleled sailing experience in the Caribbean,” the release stated.

Early Bird Incentive: Register by October 31

Competitors looking to lock in their place early are being rewarded with an early bird entry rate of USD$12 per foot for all entries paid by October 31, 2026. Organisers are encouraging sailors to take advantage of the offer and secure their berth on the starting line well ahead of the April event.

For a regatta that has been drawing the world’s sailing community to the waters of Antigua for nearly six decades, the 58th edition represents both a continuation of a storied tradition and the consolidation of an exciting new chapter — one that the island’s waters, its hospitality, and the unique character of English Harbour are perfectly positioned to host.

Entries are now open at the Antigua Sailing Week official website.
