Antigua and Barbuda’s top club outfit will face one of the Caribbean’s most decorated sides when the regional football stage is set in Trinidad and Tobago this July, with All Saints United FC drawn to meet Jamaica’s Mount Pleasant Academy in the Round of 16 of the Caribbean Football Union Club Shield.
All Saints United, champions of Antigua and Barbuda’s top flight at the end of the 2024/25 domestic season, earned the right to participate in the CFU tournament on the strength of that title. The team is one of eight sides given byes directly to the Round of 16 in the competition scheduled for Trinidad and Tobago between July 23 and August 2.
The Round of 16 match-ups are scheduled for July 25 and 26, though a specific day for the United versus Mount Pleasant clash has not yet been confirmed.
A Formidable Opponent
The draw presents All Saints United with an immediate test against Jamaican heavyweights. Mount Pleasant FA are the current holders of the CONCACAF Champions Cup — a distinction that speaks to the level of quality United will need to match and surpass if they are to advance deep into the competition.
The Road to the Final
A total of 22 teams are taking part in the knockout-format tournament, with the finalists earning qualification for the CONCACAF Champions Cup. The opening round runs from July 23 to 24, with the Round of 16 on July 25 and 26, quarterfinals on July 28, semifinals on July 31, and the final on August 2.
