The Hopeful Hearts Foundation has arrived in Barbuda for a three-day community outreach mission running from July 3 to 5, bringing donated school supplies, toys, and clothing for children and families on the sister isle — and leaving something more permanent behind in the form of a mural at Holy Trinity Primary School.
Crossing the Channel with Purpose
The Hopeful Hearts team made the journey from Antigua to Barbuda on Friday morning, carrying donated goods and a full programme of community activities planned for the weekend. The mission forms part of the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to serving communities beyond their home base in Antigua — a statement of intent that Barbuda is not an afterthought in the Foundation’s vision of island-wide impact.
What the Three Days Will Deliver
The outreach activities planned across the weekend include the distribution of school supplies and a community clothing drive, fun activities designed specifically for children, and the commencement of a mural project at Holy Trinity Primary School. The mural is being painted in partnership with Chaneil Imhoff of WISH — the Wadadli Initiative for Self-care and Healing — bringing together two of Antigua and Barbuda’s most active community organisations in a single, lasting contribution to the sister isle.
The programme will also include an engagement with the Barbuda Youth Council, where Hopeful Hearts Foundation Founder and CEO Kristine Louisa will speak directly to young Barbudans about her personal journey, resilience, leadership, and the power of youth empowerment.
