Former BoE Executive Secretary raises questions about Browne Administration’s indebted to UWI
Former Executive Secretary of the Board of Education (BoE) D Gisele Isaac is questioning the amount which the Gaston Browne Administration says is owed to The University of the West Indies (UWI).
Reports are that about $50 million in arrears have been racked up by the government of Antigua and Barbuda.
Isaac, who is the Chairman of the United Progressive Party (UPP), says when she was an employee of the BoE, the Board ensured that monies were paid in a timely manner to cover the educational tuition of Antiguan students studying at any of the university’s campuses.
