CXC concedes to lobbyists and will delay start of regional exams by three weeks

After announcing, last wee,k that it was not accepting a call by the Caribbean Union of Teachers (CUT) to push back this year’s CSEC and CAPE examinations, the Caribbean Examination Council (CXC) has extended the start to these exams by three weeks.

The extension follows weeks of lobbying by stakeholders for the regional exams, scheduled to start on May 2, to be pushed back.

CXC was reportedly set to host a media briefing about the administration of the 2022 regional examinations on Thursday afternoon, April 27.
