Irene B. Williams Secondary student goes missing after last being seen at YMCA Sports Complex

Another teen has gone missing and, again, the public’s assistance is being sought in locating him.

The family of 16-year-old Xavier Ashton of Liberta, along with the Police, is appealing to the public for any information that could lead to knowing his whereabouts.

The young man was last seen at the Y.M.C.A Sports Complex on Tuesday, March 29, wearing a white vest, black shorts and black shoes and carrying a dark green school bag.

He is said to be a Third Form student of the Irene B. Williams Secondary School and is approximately 5 feet 9 inches in height. Xavier is said to be dark in complexion, slimly built, and wearing a low-cut hairstyle.

Anyone with information should contact the nearest police station or the Youth Intervention Unit at 562-4817.

Xavier is the second male teen to be reported missing in March.

Jakim Jenkins, 14, of Greenbay was reported missing last month after he was last seen on Sunday, February 27, on Tindale Road.

In recent times more males seem to be leaving home in contrast to the usual female disappearances.  However, they usually are found and returned safely to their families.
