Cruise tourist collapses and dies here on Tuesday; police investigating alleged medical complications
A post mortem examination will have to be carried out on the body of a cruise-ship tourist who died suddenly while in Antigua and Barbuda.
The German man reportedly arrived here on Tuesday, March 15, on board the Aida Perla, one of three cruise ships docked in St. John’s Harbour.
Reports are that the 61-year-old man collapsed after returning to the vessel from a pre-arranged tour earlier in the day.
He reportedly had medical challenges, which the Police are now probing. He was pronounced dead by a medical doctor late in the afternoon, after which his body was removed to a local funeral home before the ship left Antigua.
