No hospitalizations at present, but six new virus cases move national total to 7,435

Health officials are reporting that, at this time, there are no hospitalizations as a result of the COVID-19 virus.

The last person admitted to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre has been discharged, after having moderate symptoms of the disease.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health is reporting that there are six new lab-confirmed infections as of Tuesday, February 22.  These have increased Antigua and Barbuda’s total to 7,435 infections.

Officials say that 14 people have recovered from the virus, bringing the total active cases to 61.

In the meantime, the number of fully vaccinated residents has increased to just over 61,000. Those who are partially vaccinated now stand at 2,438.
