Active COVID-19 cases now at 109, while fatalities creep up to 107 with two new deaths

Sixteen lab-confirmed cases of the COVID-19 virus were recorded over a two-day period, the Ministry of Health reports.

On Tuesday, November 9, four persons tested positive for the virus from 74 samples processed at the hospital.

The following day, November 10, 12 people tested positive for the virus out of the 108 samples  processed.

Consequently, the total number of lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda is 4,118, inclusive of 109 active cases. 

There are 11 people now hospitalized: two with severe symptoms, seven mild and two moderate. However, there were 13 recoveries over the two days, increasing that number to 3,902.

Health officials say there were also two COVID-related deaths during this period, taking fatalities to 107.

Meanwhile, Antigua and Barbuda has fully vaccinated 52,689 individuals and 5,808 have  received their first dose.
