Body of European man discovered aboard his yacht off Parham Dock; foul play is not suspected

Police continue to investigate the death of a 45-year-old Ukrainian man whose body was discovered by a friend on Tuesday night.

The incident was then reported to the Police, who responded to the scene in the Parham Harbour area. The district doctor confirmed the finding and pronounced the body dead at 1:56 a.m .on Wednesday, October 20, according to State media.

Reports say the man lived on his yacht, which was anchored just outside the Parham Dock near Crabbs, and was last seen alive at around 10 p.m. on October 17.

Police reportedly do not suspect foul play as a cause of death, but a post mortem examination will likely be conducted.  Already, however, there is speculation that the man might have fallen victim to the coronavirus or to vaccination against it.

The body has been removed to a funeral home pending certain formalities, including arrangements for his body to be returned home.

His vessel was towed to the North Sound Dock at Crabbs, reports say.
